RIWA IS…

“My mother had shop in Shams al Balad. It is an organic shop and we sold the soaps from the Zarqa Life Centre. I personally loved the Charcoal soaps. I used it and it is great at clearing acne. Now, my sister also uses it.”

Carla — Amman, Jordan

“The only soap that does not dry out my hands is the olive oil soap from the Hayat Collection.”

Ghalib — Amman, Jordan

“My son absolutely loved the Charcoal Tea Tree Oil soaps from Riwa, because it worked wonders for his acne.”

Claire — Paris, France

“These soaps are all incredible. I had the opportunity to go to where the soaps are made. It is amazing to see how the women maintained high standards of soap making. They are so creative, they love what they do and the soaps are luscious. They are moisturizing and smell heavenly!”

Meet the team

Najwa

I fled Syria in 2013, eventually settling in Zarqa. With a family to support and my husband rendered disabled, I began making soap at the Life Center to provide for my family. I now oversee all soap production, development, sales and management of RIWA.

Amal

I used to be a typical housewife. I struggled with various difficulties and life challenges, I was able to enroll in a ‘small business training’ course which empowered me to be the project coordinator at Riwa's soap workshop.

Amani

I first came to the center in October 2016. I was living alone and fearful until I came to the center where my life really changed. It gave me hope and I came to life again. I was given the opportunity to learn to make soap and share my life with other ladies. I hope that as the center grows it will give opportunities to more women.

Sharouq

I first came to the Life Center to improve my literacy. I am now an important part of the production team. I can contribute to my family income and I gained a community.
